Look Ma! One hand!

One handed
Wrote this entry just fo' you Vin... Now I just have to think about something else to write about. Uh oh, I just had a tour come through my office! That won't stop me tho' I'm going for the limit!
12:48 PM now, started at ~12:30 PM with an email to Vin Thomas.
"...If you could see me now my hand would be in the air about the sofa
thing (vin's blog 2.20.05) (let's see how long I can keep it up there (Ha-remember? **This used to be a contest between a few of us at school, at random times we'd just see how long we could hold our hand in the air** It's
about 12:30 now)), in fact I've never had a couch per sey, but since
my parents visited last I now have my Bright Orange Donut Diner Seat
set up. No really, I found a set of them lying near a dumpster, took
it apart and stuck it in my car, and brought it home, it's been in two
pieces for about a year now, till last week!
Have fun where ever yer at... I'll email ya when my hand goes down,
maybe we'll be raising our hands together again -in two different
states! (12:36 now)

Once...
In a far away place, and in a far away time, three men of ancient descent met at a crossroad -each wandering from his respective town. In it's own way, this day was exhibiting the beginnings of what would become an unseasonably mild afternoon. One of the men carried with him a unicycle, named...

Great 'Google'y Moogley
Recent Google Whacks:
The page refers to an author by the name of William Gilmore Simms. 1806-1870 I like this author alot. I never knew there were people who actually wrote like this an got published. This guy uses more words than I could ever hope to fathom! Here's an excerpt from the beginning of his novel:
The following sketches are now, for the first time,
collected in form. Several of them have, at various
periods in a short life, found their way into print -- in
one magazine or another. They were written at long
intervals -- upon occasional suggestions -- and will be
found to indicate some of the warmth of a mind and
habit, sometimes careless of restraint, and not always
to be controlled by rule. In some of them, the fancy
has been permitted free play, and a taste purely oriental
has originated a form of expression and combination in
the characters, which the reader, of Spitzbergen-like
temperament, may hold as a madness beyond even that
of Hamlet's, and wanting utterly in its mood and me-
thod. For these I have not written. It is only with
the gentle and the glad -- with those, who, while the
winter fire blazes brightly, and the heart is contracted
to the circle which surrounds it, are sufficiently rational
to exclaim with the cheerful Grecian --
"I will -- I will be mad to night," --
that I am willing to leave the little volume which I now
place before them.

The intended post...
Yes, that did actually happen and with no aid on my part. I'd been experiencing troubles with bluetooth on this computer at work, and I suspect it was carry-over.
What was supposed to be posted was this...

-Wooden Nickels should be taken. (Contrary to popular belief and well intentioned -although antiquated- fatherly advice)
-Quadraphonic record needles are a rare find in the area of the Caribbean.

Wha?... Hey!! It's stuck! HA, HAA!
For whatever reason my keyboard has taken offense at the word Quadrapho- ...I'd better not type it again, just in case eh? Well! Such a rebellion has Never surfaced with so little provocation to my knowledge! As you can see, it tried to get the word out to it's contacts as fast as possible by means of repetition, but obviously in vain. Electronics have a lot to learn about word structure and communication, but that doesn't seem to keep them from trying though, does it?
Hmm... I maybe seeing this in the wrong light here, I seem to have (in my haste to pass malicious judgment) overlooked the fact that I could have misread the whole situation. It would seem that some humor (albeit elementary, and at the time quite annoying) has been blatantly disregarded on my part. Ha. Could it have been that my dear Apple Wireless Keyboard had tapped into the levity of the situation, and in its own way upon its own volition, inserted a mild bit of jokularity? Ha! Yes! rrrrrrrr... Arrrrr!... ARRRRRRR! Of course the universally known 'Pirate Retort'. Highly appropriate, and irrevocably Piratey... How could I have missed it?! I need time to get my thoughts together... what a momentous end to an otherwise fabulously plain-Jane-dreary-day... A Name! I must don thee with a name! I shall work on a suitable one. A thing not to be taken lightly.

Un-canny, Dr. Rodgers, I've never seen its like...
I have haplessly stumbled upon one of the most profound finds in computer gaming, among the Animated Adventure Genre. Prized by those with the advanced humor gene... sought after by those who squandered them in their youth... I have found -and purchased- from the bargain bin of my local Software Etc. one copy each, of... 'Grim Fandango', and 'The Curse of Monkey Island'!!! I will spare you the agony of knowing the price at which I snatched these two gems from the clutches of would-be spontaneous summer do-nothing grandmother gifters!
Can't wait, will post interesting findings...

A friend and I started to paint a wall in my house (Sat. June 5th) with ping pong balls and paddles we bought at the dollar store. We dipped 'em in the purple paint we bought for $1 a gallon at our local Sherwin Williams establishment. Then next time we went to the $1 store, we got some water slingshots, w/ sponge type projectiles, and a spring gun that shoots what appear to be miniature pingpong balls. While being severely more accurate, the drawbacks are more bounce and less paint coverage than I would like, But Take Heart and Fear Ye Not! We are reserving these for the second color scheme(yellow and orange spatters; at this stage, restrained to a circular dimension of some sort). The sponge slingshots really don't have a consistent splatter, usually you get the best out of the first one or two shots, and don't bounce hardly at all. Fun, but Messy.
I picked up a couple of retrievable ball toys that attach to your wrist. I think these will work nicely... Less backache, more control. Always a Good Thing.
